Tali, also known as Elondo, is an exotic species that grows in the West , East and Central of Africa.
The sapwood colour varies from the White yellow to pinkish White, and the heartwood of the yellowish-brown to the reddish-brown, that is darker on the basis of their exposure to light. The sapwood are clearly separated and the growth rings are inconspicuous and when they are wide are underlined by a thin vein of brown. Its fibre is very intertwined and its grain is thick.
Tali Quarter Cut shows a texture very rich in variations of similar appearance to other African species as Ember or Etimoe.
