Etimoe Crown Cut

Etimoe Crown Cut

Etimoe Crown Cut.

Bright colour, rough texture and fine grain makes Etimoe one of the most well-known african species.

Etimoe is usually grown in the West and Central of Africa. Its forests and its production is limited.

This african soft wood is available either crown or quarter cut, and it has very nice cathedrals that only enhance this beautiful wood. The distinctive spiral growth of Etimoe is clearly visible on the surface of veneers and boards. Its fibre can be straight or slightly interlace and its grain ranges from thin and medium.

Its colour is medium red brown in colour, often with a darker greyish-brown irregular veining varying in shade from light to medium. Its heartwood convinces by its excellent stability and its sapwood is clearly separated.

A dreamy exotic hint.

Etimoe Crown Cut is widely used among other things for furniture-making, paneling and encasings. This veneer is a great alternative species for Rosewood or Mahogany veneer in furniture-making and interior woodwork. Indeed, this species is a fairly open grained veneer but nonetheless useful for all kinds of cabinet and architectural interior decoration.

That is why Etimoe Crown Cut and its bright and warm colour gives the possibility to fill spaces with an exotic hint, or even be used as a concious contrast to modern element. It is a suitable veneer for places or representatives, providing them with a spectacular and distinctive finish.
